The head of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luigi Soreca, praised the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the match with the United States of America (USA).
Despite the result of tonight’s match, Soreca pointed out that the players and fans showed the true face of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the global stage.
“During this historic performance at the World Cup, the football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina showed incredible passion, unity and determination – acting as the best possible ambassadors of their country on the global stage,” said Soreca.
In addition to praising the national team members, the head of the EU Delegation also referred to the fantastic atmosphere created by the Bosnia and Herzegovina fans.
“The fans, with their energetic and unforgettable support, brought an exciting atmosphere wherever they went. Although tonight’s match did not go as we had hoped, BiH won thanks to the team’s incredible play,” said Soreca.
Soreca also shared a photo with the inscription: “Thank you, Dragons!”.
The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated in San Francisco by the host United States of America with a score of 2:0.
Although the dreams of reaching the round of 16 have been cut short, our boys still return to their homeland with their heads held high and with the status of national heroes.
