A panel discussion entitled “Visibility of women in the local community” was held on Saturday in Grude, organized by the Initiative of Citizens of Mostar and the Right Way Association from Grude.
The goal of the panel was to open a dialogue about the position of women in local communities, encourage their empowerment in public and private life, and point out the challenges that women face, especially in smaller communities.
For the panelists Mariola Čolak and Žana Alpezi, who are long-term activists, educators and entrepreneurs, the conversation was an opportunity to share their experiences and emphasize the importance of female leadership, equality and the visibility of women in social life.
During the discussion, the need for valuing the invisible work of women, dismantling patriarchal patterns and strengthening the role of women in all social spheres was emphasized.
“Women make up half of our society, but their presence, voice and contribution often remain in the shadows. With this panel, we want to encourage change and send a clear message that it’s time for women to become visible,” said the organizers.
