– In the last negotiations in BiH, with the mediation of the EU, no agreement was reached. Now the decision should be put in the hands of the citizens. The EU should firmly maintain the unconditional organization of free and fair elections, including the integrity package, Strick said.
In addition, she stated that discriminatory elements should be eliminated from the BiH Constitution by a fully proven ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, including “Sejdic-Finci”.
In this way, Strick continues to confirm that he is one of the main friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is not only deeply aware of the situation in our country, but also actively works on the promotion and protection of our country’s interests at the European level.
Strick, in addition to advocating assistance to our country and opening the doors of the European Union to BiH, did not hesitate to emphasize that Milorad Dodik is the main obstacle to our country’s progress and a person who, in cooperation with the Russian regime, seeks to destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Earlier, Strik commented on the possible financial injection of the European Union (EU) to the Republika Srpska (RS) authorities, saying that such a move would be outrageous and would discredit the European Commission.
The text published by journalists concerning the information that the RS expects the approval of grants and loans from the EU in the total amount of 642.8 million euros, which is 1.257 billion BAM, provoked reactions from Strik who pointed out that such a decision would be completely wrong.
“Allegedly, the European Commission is preparing subsidies and loans to RS worth more than 600 million euros. A week after the adoption of Dodik’s secessionist decisions in the National Assembly of RS (NARS), that would be absolutelyintolerable,” Strik wrote.
She also spoke about the relationship between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and member of thePresidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Milorad Dodik and wrote that Orban had promised significant assistance to Dodik.
“Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban promised Dodik a month ago that he would help him with a billion euros. It is now clear that this will be financed from the EU budget. This shows that Varhelyi is not a true European Commissioner,” Strik explained.
In conclusion, Tineke Strik called on the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen to react and suspend the payment of funds.
“I call on European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to intervene and block the allocation of funds. If the Commission allocates money to RS at this stage, it will lose all credibility in promoting the rule of law and democracy in the Western Balkans,” Strik concluded.
