Strong Earthquake hits Greece

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of the Greek Peloponnese on Monday, the Geodynamic Institute of Greece announced.

The announcement states that the earthquake occurred this morning at 6:20 a.m.

According to the data published by the Institute, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 14.5 kilometers and was felt in a wider area, the “Greek Reporter” portal reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was between the towns of Kranidi and Leonidio.

So far, there are no reports of potential victims or material damage.
