An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Simav district of western Turkey’s Kutahya province on Sunday.
The 5.4-magnitude tremor, centered in the Simav district, struck at 12:59 p.m., the website of Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said.
The quake, which was also felt in surrounding provinces, was recorded at a depth of 8.46 kilometers.
There was no immediate word on casualties or damage.
