Mr Anderson is working on an EU funded project in Bosnia & Herzegovina that aims to get young people in education, and adults through lifelong learning to be more entrepreneurial, and consider starting their own business. The country has some of the highest unemployment levels in Europe, particularly with young people. He hopes to enhance the country’s economic outlook by drawing on experience gained across the UK.
He is also looking to develop further links with the country by sharing knowledge around how to build systems to ensure small businesses have a future.
Mr Anderson said: “Bosnia & Herzegovina is a fabulous country, but has suffered greatly in recent history through conflict.
“There are many similarities with parts of the South West with many of the problems we try to overcome repeated here. Using experience we have developed and sharing it with business people over here- makes a huge impact on the economic development of the country”.
