akademija_obalaThe open scene “Obala” of the Performing Arts Academy in Sarajevo was one of the most interesting and vivid theaters of the former Yugoslavia. Some of the cult shows such as “Audition”, “Miracle in Shangai”, “Ladies choose”, “Wild Meat” are created at this artistic scene.

The war in B&H interrupted the art work of this scene, but upon the end of the war there were attempts to re-activate it again and to establish an independent scene which would promote the young artists.

This will be implemented any time soon and the Open Scene Obala will become again the place where students of the Art Academy can promote their ideas.

Docent of the Academy of Arts and actor Ermin Bravo announced that Obala will be soon again one of the active theater facilities in the city.

“Students have formed a group and want to lead and initiate the scene again, to choose their projects that want to present, to produce artistic works and to manage the leading of this scene” said Bravo.
