Air pollution is one of the biggest problems that will be handled in the following period because, as it was emphasized, BiH is the third country in Europe when it comes to the air pollution.
“In BiH, about 9.000 people die from air pollution per year, and in Sweden 40, which says enough about the severity of the situation and the need for urgent action through already started projects,” the Ambassador of Sweden stressed.
Both sides expressed their readiness to continue cooperation on the long-term project of the Swedish Environment Protection Agency, which will strengthen the capacity for improving air quality assessment, its monitoring and management, and all that in cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions.
The Swedish Ambassador announced investments and engagement in other significant projects, particularly in the field of agriculture and the economy, with the aim of providing comprehensive support to the EU integration of BiH.
