Sweden’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Robert Rydberg will present the incoming Chair’s priorities to the OSCE Permanent Council on Thursday, 16 July, in Vienna. Sweden will take over the OSCE Chair from Albania on 1 January 2021.
Rydberg will outline Sweden’s priorities as Chair in all three OSCE dimensions with a focus on the very fundamentals of the OSCE: the European security order, the comprehensive concept of security, and continued efforts to resolve conflicts in the OSCE region.
Thursday’s Permanent Council will take part in a hybrid format with a limited physical attendance at the Hofburg, Vienna and online on the Zoom platform. Deputy Minister Rydberg will address the Permanent Council remotely from Stockholm.
