The Sarajevo Film Festival is proud to announce this year’s Spotlight on Sweden, presented in partnership with the Swedish Film Institute, Swedish Institute, Embassy of Sweden in Sarajevo, Göteborg Film Festival, and Film i Väst.
Sweden – and the Nordic region more broadly – has long served as a model for Southeast Europe in sustainable public funding, global positioning, and talent development in film and television. This year, CineLink Industry Days will spotlight this longstanding connection, aiming to deepen collaboration through new co-production opportunities and practical exchanges among professionals in the film and drama series industries.
A 15-member delegation of Swedish film and TV professionals will participate in this year’s CineLink Industry Days in Sarajevo, joining over 1,200 accredited guests from Europe and beyond. In addition to participating in networking sessions and project scouting, the Swedish delegation will take part in a dedicated panel on co-productions between Sweden and Southeast Europe. The panel will explore best practices in development, financing, and international distribution, with a particular emphasis on drama series.
Swedish delegates will also contribute their expertise through CineLink’s Training and Skills program, participating as workshop experts across various sessions.
The Swedish Delegation Includes:
- Kristina Börjeson, Film i Väst
- Anna Croneman, Swedish Film Institute
- Theo Tsappos, Swedish Film Institute
- Cia Edström, Göteborg Film Festival
- Freddy Olsson, Göteborg Film Festival
- Lejla Bešić, Nordisk Film
