President of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide Murat Tahirović reminded the President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska (NSRS) Nenad Stevandić and others that the competences covered by immunity do not include the overthrow of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the NSRS is obliged to support that order.
Tahirović reacted to the statement of Stevandić, who said that MPs are protected by the institute of immunity regulated by the Constitution of the RS and the Rules of Procedure of the NSRS.
“The immunities and crimes imagined in the minds of the then breakers of BiH, Milošević, Karadžić, Krajišnik, Plavšić, Brđanin and others, took them to The Hague. The name of Nenad Stevandić is found in many judgments of the court from The Hague. The war crime does not become statute-barred despite and despite the incompetent Prosecutor’s Office in BiH, which still does not read the verdicts of the court from The Hague in which the name of Nenad Stevandić dominates,” Tahirović states.
As Tahirović added in reaction, Stevandić is using the same rhetoric after more than 30 years as his predecessor, the war criminal, Momčilo Krajišnik.
“We invite the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as any prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office, who maintains his dignity and professional honor and who is not under control, to read the judgments of the ICTY and determine why the name of Nenad Stevandić is mentioned in countless judgments. We make ourselves available to them, if they decide to take that step,” added Tahirović, the Association of Genocide Victims and Witnesses announced.
