Tarik Odzak won silver at the International Geometry Olympiad (IGO), making him the highest-ranked participant from Europe, which makes his achievement even more significant.
IGO is one of the world’s most prestigious international mathematics competitions, with a focus on geometry. The competition brings together the best young mathematicians from around the world and consists of five challenging problems, with candidates evaluated based on precision, creativity, and depth of mathematical thinking.
With 26 points, 14-year-old Tarik, a student at Grbavica 1 Elementary School in Sarajevo, ranked among the best young mathematicians in the world, confirming his exceptional talent and knowledge.
His success is a great encouragement for young mathematicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Europe, as well as proof that with effort and dedication, top results can be achieved on a global level.
