Earlier this month, the Citizens’ Association “Pogon” published a photo-contest titled “The Sarajevo Frame”, aimed at reviving famous scenes from renowned B&H films, as well as the promotion of cultural values, artistic creation and B&H cinematography.
The photo-contest aroused the interest of a large number of people, photography enthusiasts and admirers of films by Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac, Emir Kusturica, Ademir Kenović, Mirza Idrizović, Jasmila Žbanić, Drđan Vuletić and many others.
The Jury Award was presented to Lejla Hasanović for the photography inspired by the film “Miris Dunja”, and the Audience Award went to Tesnim Karišik for the photograph which revives the scene from the film “The Perfect Circle”. Over 9,500 votes were collected for Karišik’s photographs via social networks.
Of several hundreds of photographs submitted for the contest, 30 of the best selected by the jury consisting of Elmir Jukić, Alen Muratović, Nino Maričić, Vanja Lisac and Vedran Hrustanović will be presented at the exhibition in the Historical Museum of B&H.
The entire project and idea were supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton, the Citizens’ Association “Pogon” stated.
