The 14th Sarajevo Business Forum will be held today, and the presence of more than 500 participants – representatives of governments, ministries, investors and members of the business community – has been announced.
This year’s premium edition, official confirmation and attendance have been announced by numerous delegations from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Slovenia, Albania, North Macedonia and Somalia.
The Forum will discuss a number of topics such as the strategy for strengthening regional economic cooperation, the importance of investing in infrastructure projects, as well as the development potential of tourism and digitalization. Through panel discussions, presentations and interactive sessions, participants will have the opportunity to explore these topics in more depth and exchange perspectives with prominent officials, business leaders and experts from numerous industries.

The first panel, “Perspectives for Bosnia and Herzegovina through Country Engagement: The Role of Government Policies in Promoting Business Growth”, which will explore how government strategies and policy frameworks can effectively stimulate economic activity, encourage domestic and foreign investment, strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina’s economic resilience, and support its path to sustainable development and the EU path, is expected to feature the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Igli Hasani, Minister of Economy and Labor of North Macedonia Besar Durmishi, Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey Mahmut Gürcan, and Deputy Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Umut Ergezer.
The panel “Empowering Business through Technology and Innovation” will focus on strategic partnerships and innovations that can improve business. It includes the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of the Republic of Slovenia. Panelists will be Edin Forto, Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ksenija Klampfer, Minister of Digital Transformation of the Republic of Slovenia. Aida Kamišalić Latifić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Slovenia, has also confirmed her participation in this year’s edition of the Forum. Professor Emir Hrnjić, Professor of Finance at the National University of Singapore, will give a lecture on the impact of AI on financial institutions and its implications for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The panel “Strategic Business Practices in Tourism and Their Economic Impact” will be a platform for a comprehensive presentation of approaches to strategies for improving the tourism offer and attracting investments in this sector. The panelists are: Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder, Regional Director for Europe Cordula Wohlmuther, Vedrana Vikić Musić, UN Tourism, Director of the Airport Services Sector at Sarajevo International Airport, and Tamir Mostarac, Assistant Director – Senior Banker at the EBRD.The Sarajevo Business Forum is organized by Bosna Bank International in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, with the sponsorship support of domestic and foreign partners.
