The 56th “Mimosa Festival,” one of the most recognizable and longest-running festivals in Montenegro, was opened yesterday in Herceg Novi.
The “Mimosa Festival” was opened by the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, who said that this traditional event once again brings people together and reminds them of everything that makes them richer and better – history, culture, tourism, and community.
He emphasized that the “Mimosa Festival” has contributed to Montenegro’s tourism offer for decades, attracting numerous visitors from the region and across Europe.
According to him, this event is something that makes Herceg Novi known as a city of festivals, art, and a cheerful spirit.
“Through the rich program that the hosts have prepared in the coming days – from masquerade balls and festive parades to cultural, sports, and entertainment events – we show our love for our Herceg Novi, but also respect for the heritage left to us by those before us,” Milatovic stated.
He added that the feast of mimosa, fish, and wine brings the charm of the Mediterranean to the streets of Herceg Novi, offering visitors the opportunity to socialize and celebrate life and the beauty of these moments.
The “Mimosa Festival” will last until March 2nd.
