The air connection between Mostar and Bari will be officially established on May 2, and the Italian airline SkyAlps, which will transport passengers twice a week with the Dash 8-Q400 plane, has already put tickets on sale at a price of 69 euros per direction.
Flights between these two destinations will be held every Thursday and Sunday from May 2, with a scheduled departure from Bari at 1:40 p.m. and arrival in Mostar at 2:35 p.m., while in the opposite direction departures from Mostar are announced at 12:00 p.m. 00 hours and arrival in Bari at 12:55 hours.
The new air connection, which is of indisputable importance for the Mostar airport, is considered very important and in Italy the Italian tourism magazine Travel Quotidiano writes.
The president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile, said that the launch of a new air connection between Bari and Mostar will not only offer passengers a convenient travel option between the two destinations, but will also contribute to the strengthening of economic, cultural, touristic, but above all religious ties.
“Bari, Mostar, Međugorje and nearby Sarajevo are places of worship and peace. Places that attract millions of visitors every year on journeys of faith that unite territories, but above all souls,” said Vasile.
The president of SkyAlps, Josef Gostner, believes that the connection between Bari and Mostar represents a connection with great potential for SkyAlps, both from a tourist point of view and for religious trips.
“We are pleased to expand our flight program to and from Mostar, which in addition to Bari also includes connections to Rome, Verona and Munich. The flight will last approximately one hour and will be operated by highly efficient aircraft that produce up to 50 percent less emissions and less noise during takeoff and landing from other regional jets,” Gostner said.
The new route, as assessed in Italy, meets the needs of believers who will be able to reach Bosnia and Herzegovina in less than an hour, and, as they state, will also build a bridge for those from BiH who want to get to know the cultural and historical treasures and all the riches and blessings in their areas, Klix.ba writes.
