The ceremonial commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the founding of the Croatian Defense Council (HVO) and the 21st anniversary of the founding of the 1st Infantry (Guards) Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH was held on Wednesday at the memorial on Zabrđe in Konjic.
The commemoration program included the laying of wreaths and the lighting of candles for the fallen veterans, and the importance of preserving the truth about the Homeland War and permanent respect for the sacrifice of the veterans was highlighted.
“HVO Day must remain a symbol of unity, courage and the fight for freedom, the values that the veterans fought for should continue to be cherished and passed on to future generations,” announced the Association of Volunteers and Veterans of the Homeland War, HVO HB Konjic branch.
