The attack by a former student of Lukavac Elementary School with a firearm on teacher Nedim Osmanović is the last alarm for the urgent reaction of all institutions responsible for the prevention of such cases – according to the press release of the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, on the occasion of the unfortunate incident at that school.
It is added that it is evident that coordinated systemic activity of security, educational and all other institutions that can contribute to improving the security situation through the redefinition of criminal policy, stricter control of possession and use of firearms and, most importantly, adequate engagement of educational institutions, social services and the family as the basic cells of society.
“The problem of violence in schools is a challenge faced by a large part of humanity and it is necessary to apply all the positive practices that have achieved results in preventing such cases.
What is most important at this moment is that the wounded teacher Nedim Osmanović recovers successfully. My thoughts are with him and his family,” said Lendo.
