A day after the Israeli attack on south Beirut, the body of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr was found under the rubble.
This information was confirmed to Reuters by security sources in Lebanon and they emphasized that the body was found under the ruins of a residential building that was hit by an Israeli air strike.
Let us remind you that Israeli forces carried out airstrikes on the southern part of Beirut, which is also the part of the city where members of Hezbollah are located. Although it was initially reported that Shukr survived the attack, the Israeli military announced on Tuesday evening that it had killed the high-ranking Hezbollah official.
“Warplanes attacked Beirut and killed Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah’s top military commander. He was the organization’s right-hand man and war management adviser. He had been leading Hezbollah’s operations against Israel since October 8 and was responsible for the attack on the Golan Heights. and the killing of children in Majdal Shams,” Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said.
As head of the strategic department, he was entrusted with most of Hezbollah’s advanced weaponry.
“These are precision missiles, cruise missiles, long-range missiles and drones. Mahsan joined Hezbollah in 1985 and since then has held various high positions in the organization,” the IDF stated, Klix.ba writes.
