Governor of the Central Bank of Israel, Amir Yaron, announced that the cost of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip will reach $67 billion by 2025.
Jaron said the costs of the attack on Gaza include defense spending, spending on civilian needs and tax losses.
Emphasizing that the cost of the attack on Gaza is a burden on the budget, Jaron warned that the Israeli army should not be given a “blank check” in terms of the budget.
Since October 7, Israeli attacks have killed at least 36,224 Palestinians, including 15,328 children and 10,171 women, and wounded 81,777 people.
Israel has been accused of genocide before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in its latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately end its operation in Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip where more than a million displaced Palestinians have sought refuge, AA writes.
