The Centre of Emergency Medicine of the Clinical Centre of the University of Sarajevo has been renovated in the last 20 days, and besides the reconstructed interior, a new tunnel junction through which the threatened patient can be transported to the emergency medicine in just over a minute has been constructed.
The General Director of the CCUS, Rusmir Mesihović, said yesterday that in this way even better and more adequate health care and faster admission to the emergency centre will be provided.
“We, as the largest institution in B&H and one of the largest in the Balkans, are trying to improve the health care for all citizens through positive changes”, said Mesihović during the presentation of the renovated rooms.
He reminded that 12.000 people pass through the Clinical Centre in Sarajevo on a daily basis, and that is why it is necessary to provide adequate health care.
Mirela Imširija, from the team responsible for the implementation of the reconstruction project, said that this was a very demanding project which was conducted in a short period of time.
The renovated space is 4.250 square meters big, out of which the new centre for emergency medicine covers 1.360 square meters.
“Not for a single day any sector ceased its work. Our technical team has been working for 16 hours a day in order to manage this”, said Imširija.
Moreover, today it was said that that particular Clinical Centre officially became the University Clinical Centre with a new logo, and the Rector’s Office of the University of Sarajevo has given a certificate for it.
