The parade passed in front of the Monument to the Killed Children of Sarajevo towards the Cathedral, and a cultural and artistic program was held in front of the City Market. The parade then continued on to Sebilj.
The citizens of Sarajevo also held a protest on March 1st. Gathered in large numbers, they sent messages of peace and support to Ukraine, which is currently suffering, in the way that BiH did 30 years ago.
Ukrainian flags fluttered in front of the Eternal Flame, and protesters also had banners where the word “RESISTANCE”was written.
More than 300 cars passed through Sarajevo on the occasion of the Independence Day of BiH, and state officials laid flowers at the memorials in BiH.
In addition to Sarajevo, flowers were laid in Mostar and Zenica. Many statesmen wished the citizens a happy Independence Day of BiH and 30 years of freedom.
