The City Administration of Banjaluka condemned the Protests on the Day of Mourning

The City Administration of the City of Banjaluka condemns any public gatherings and protests, which were announced for today, August 16, when the Day of Mourning was declared in the Republik Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the occasion of the terrible crime that happened in Gradačac.

“Today, when the entire Republika Srpska is united in the fight against violence, such an inappropriate gathering is being organized that could have been held any day,” the City Administration stated.

On the initiative of the mayor Draško Stanivuković, the concerts announced for today in Banja Luka have been postponed.

Let us remind you that Vlado Đajić, the president of the Banjaluka SNSD City Committee, together with SNSD councilors in the City Assembly, associates and citizens, announced that they will block traffic at the City Administration today at 11:55 a.m.

“Traffic will be blocked due to the illegal increase in parking prices in Banja Luka,” announced the SNSD City Committee.

On the occasion of this, the mayor Draška Stanivuković announced and wrote on social networks that he would report the gathering to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republik Srpska.

“GO SNSD Banjaluka is organizing a protest on the Day of Mourning, which was declared in the Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, which could have been held yesterday or tomorrow. Without any empathy or political tact, they are doing it today on a kind of day of fighting against violence where they announced street blockades. We will report this unannounced gathering and street blockade to the Ministry of Interior. When I fought battles like this every time the members of the MoI legitimized and punished me, and so it was yesterday. We will see if the reaction will be the same today according to the leader of the Government Assembly Đajić and the people who will support this performance,” Stanivuković pointed out.
