The City of Prijedor and Settlements under Water

Parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been hit by heavy rainfall in recent days, causing a sudden rise in river levels and flooding. The situation is most critical in the north and northwest of the country, and some cities have already declared a state of natural disaster and a state of emergency against floods. Due to the overflowing rivers, traffic on some main and local roads has been disrupted, and on many routes people are driving at their own risk.

In Prijedor and Sanski Most, as well as in the areas around these cities, the situation is extremely critical.

Prijedor has already declared a state of emergency against floods, and the footage and photos coming from these cities are worrying.

What could further complicate the situation are the new rainfall that is forecast for that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
