The SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) decided to withdraw the initiative for the dismissal of Defense Minister Zukan Helez.
“The key argument why we withdrew this initiative is because we do not have the opinion of the Council of Ministers,” said Sanja Vulic.
Vulic stated yesterday that there is an agreement and that they withdrew the initiative because they want to deal with things useful for the future of BiH. She said that it is not too late for initiatives and that they made the decision after receiving information in the last 24 hours.
“We decided to respect that everyone should do their job, and bearing in mind that there is a possible act of committing a criminal offense, the prosecution formed a case. We expect that the public will be informed, we will wait for the outcome of the proceedings in judicial institutions”, stated Vulic.
Sasa Magazinovic, who comes from the SDP, as well as Zukan Helez, thanked the partners for withdrawing the dismissal from the agenda.
“I thank the deputies who withdrew this initiative. It is part of the agreement that we do not deal with dismissal in the Council of Ministers of BiH, but to try to do things that are good and that are up to us here in the Parliament, the European Union (EU)path of BiH, and we as a Caucus will behave in accordance with that agreement,” Magazinovic noted.
“Do you have a plan B, I don’t think you have a plan B. I don’t think a serious political party should do what you are doing. What you are doing is idling,” said Darko Babalj from SDS, who asked to clarify whether the replacement of Helez will be on the agenda or not.
On behalf of the Caucus, Vulic requested a break for additional consultations after the discussion on the agenda.
Branislav Borenovic (PDP) said that they do not know what happened in the meantime because the qualifications for Helez were very serious and that it represents a danger for BiH and the Republika Srpska (RS).
“There was obviously a trade in positions and that this is some kind of agreement, we will see in a few minutes or an hour that even Minister Kosarac will no longer be a bully for certain members of the coalition. This group of deputies led by the SNSD represents the reality of the camps that Minister Helez mentioned,” said Borenovic, N1 writes.
