The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, will participate in the commemoration in London today as part of the National Day of Remembrance of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for Srebrenica.
The commemoration will be held at the headquarters of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland’s Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Affairs and Development.
Bećirović will address the dignitaries, including members of the UK Government and both houses of the UK Parliament, the BiH Presidency announced.
The UK will mark the 29th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, as one of the few countries that commemorates this event at the national level. The host of the commemoration is the newly elected Labor Minister of State for Europe Stephen Doughty, and the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović will be the main speaker.
Last year, Bećirović also participated in the commemoration on the occasion of the National Day of Remembrance of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for Srebrenica at Lancaster House in London.
