The Construction of Wind Farms Podvelezje to start in the Fourth Quarter of this Year

Government of FB&H gave its approval to the Public Company Elektroprivreda B&H for the construction of wind farms Podvelezje in the area of Mostar, which includes construction of roads, transformer stations, as well as the wind turbine. Start of construction activities in the project Podvelezje wind farm is planned for the fourth quarter of 2016. Financial resources are ensured from loan funds of the German Development Bank KfW in the amount of 90 % of the investment, while private funds will amount to 10 % investment, as confirmed from the Service for Communications of Elektroprivreda B&H.

This project, as emphasized, is development opportunity and a chance to construct the wind farm in the locality of Podvelezje, and it is not only contributing to the increase of the production of electricity, but it will also be the driver of economic development of this region.

Also, the project of construction of the wind farm is opening the possibility of engagement of domestic construction companies (roads, foundations, interconnections etc.), which will contribute to engagement of local people. Moreover, the expected positive effect on the local community will be the development of local tourism capacities.
