The Continuation of the Campaign ‘Life is at Stake’ in Canton Sarajevo

The activity and campaign “Life is at stake”, which last year pushed the boundaries and broke all the records of preventive examinations of the most common forms of cancer in Sarajevo Canton, continues this year as well. Contracts were signed today with the health institutions that will perform the examinations.

As part of this campaign, 6,117 free examinations were provided for the residents of Sarajevo Canton.

And this year, “Life is at stake” is a new action of the Ministry of Health of the CS for all persons residing in this canton. 6,117 examinations were provided, through a public invitation from the Ministry of Health, where health institutions competed for the lowest price, so the planned number of 4,286 examinations was increased by 1,831 examinations.

With one social security number, you can register for several different examinations, but only once for a specific examination, regardless of whether you register at several clinics.

“For example, if you register for a preventive skin examination in one clinic, you will not be able to register again for the same examination in another clinic, but you can register for another preventive examination (colon, breast or cervix). After you have registered, you will receive a return email that you have been successfully registered, after which you will be called from the clinic for which you have registered and informed about the place and time of the examination,” it is stated in the statement of the press and protocol service of the CS.

CS Minister of Health Haris Vranić called on citizens to take advantage of the free examinations of the Ministry of Health starting September 1st.

“I am happy that this year we continued with our project that saves lives. Sign up, because this year too Life is at stake,” Minister Vranić said.
