The convention under the slogan “Bosnia is ours – Bosnian”, which was organized on Thursday by Circle 99 and the association Guardians of Bosnia, emphasized the importance of defending the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of BiH, it was pointed out today at the regular session of Circle 99 dedicated to the reflections of that convention.
Azra Zornić, the appellant before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, pointed out at the press conference before the session that a new epoch in the socio-political life of our country began with the holding of the Sarajevo Convention.
”The significance of the convention is also reflected in the fact that it is the first time in recent history that a dialogue has been achieved and a consensus has been reached between the academic community, the non-governmental sector and political parties regarding the issue of Bosnian nationality and the survival of Bosnian Bosnia,” added Zornić.
In the joint declaration of the Convention, which contains nine points, Zornić stated, the guidelines for future actions, not only of the signatories of the declaration, but also of all patriotic forces in building and preserving the Bosnian nation and Bosnian Bosnia, are precisely stated. Zornić singled out the conclusion according to which the convention insists on the consistent implementation of all six judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, the abolition of all forms of discrimination on the territory of the entire country by placing the citizen as an individual in the focus of the constitutional-legal system and strengthening the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Professor emeritus Enver Halilović said that the huge presence of Sarajevo citizens at the Convention gives hope that a discussion and quality dialogue on these topics will be opened at similar gatherings and in other environments.
The Convention also requested the abolition of special and parallel ties as an instrument of collapsing the sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the big-state ambitions of neighboring countries. A special point states that the Convention points out that the response to the security situation is a first-rate political issue to which all structures of society and state institutions must give realistic answers.
The president of Circle 99, Adil Kulenović, reminded of all the conclusions adopted by the participants of the Convention, which initiated the holding of similar gatherings in other cities and municipalities, so the final document of the Convention will be defined when all presented papers and discussions are summarized.
