The Council of Ministers adopted the Budget and the Draft Law on the HJPC

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted the State Budget for 2025 in the amount of 1.57 billion BAM.

The budget has been increased by 215 million BAM, compared to last year’s 1.35 billion BAM, and it will be sent to the Presidency of BiH for further procedure.

The Draft Law on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina was removed from the session’s agenda, at the request of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Staša Košarac (SNSD).

The Council of Ministers also adopted the Draft Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH. This Draft Law was added to the agenda later, and is one of two laws important for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path, along with the Draft Law on the Court of BiH.

Although the leader of the HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, announced yesterday after a meeting with the President of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, that both laws and the Budget would be adopted, the Draft Law on the Court of BiH did not receive the necessary support, as Dodik said. However, Dodik said yesterday that he would not support the Draft Law on the HJPC, but it was adopted anyway.
