The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Ministry of Security, unanimously passed the Decision on seeking international assistance for protection and rescue in extinguishing fires, after the fires struck Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With this decision, international assistance in extinguishing fires was requested in the form of firefighting forces, means and aircraft for extinguishing fires from countries with which Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed agreements and memoranda on cooperation in protection and rescue and through the procedures of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union (EU).
The competent authorities for civil protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina receive international aid for firefighting.
The decision will be valid as long as the danger of fire lasts during 2024, the Council of Ministers announced.
