On July 27th of this year, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo issued a decision rejecting the appeal of the legal team of the director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), Sebija Izetbegovic, against the decision of the Municipal Court.
It should be recalled that the Municipal Court rejected the request for the adoption of a security measure that would postpone the implementation of the decisions of the Senate of the UNSA, which stripped Izetbegovic of her title of Professor.
Moreover, this decision is followed by ordinary litigation.
The lawyer representing UNSA, Enver Smajkan, stated that the Decision was delivered to the lawyers yesterday, considering that it was the vacation period.
“The decision of the Municipal Court was passed, rejecting Professor Izetbegovic’s appeal against the decision of the first-instance court rejecting her the security measure for the title of professor,” says Smajkan.
A member of Sebija Izetbegovic’s legal team, Esad Oruc, emphasized that he and his colleague Senka Nozica had not yet seen the mentioned Decision, but explained that if the appeal was rejected, it does not mean that the title of Professor was definitely taken away.
“This is about a security measure, and in this procedure, it has not been decided whether the decision to revoke the title of Professor is legal or not, we are still waiting for a preliminary hearing,” Oruc explained, Klix.ba reports.
