The Dutch Prime Minister paid Tribute to the Victims of the Genocide

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, accompanied by Ambassador Henk van den Dool, visited the Srebrenica Memorial Center and paid tribute to the victims of genocide buried in Potočari.

Rutte, as stated in MC Srebrenica’s post on the X social network, “laid flowers and paid tribute to the victims of the genocide”, and also met with representatives of the Srebrenica Memorial Center.

The Dutch Prime Minister also entered the Book of Mourning…

“In memory of all the victims of the genocide, today we stand with the survivors. We will never forget what happened,” it says in English, while Rutte concluded the message in Bosnian: “Rest in peace.”

The Dutch Prime Minister arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, where he will hold a series of meetings with representatives of local authorities.

Rutte will stay in BiH for two days, and in addition to him, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, will also arrive in Sarajevo, the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
