The EU will send almost 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Syria, bringing the total value of the bloc’s aid to the Syrian people this year to around 163 million euros, the European Commission said.
The new aid package increases its value by four million euros, the statement said.
According to the statement, 50 tonnes of emergency aid will be sent in the next few days from EU stocks in the United Arab Emirates via Turkey, while 46 tonnes of aid from stocks in Denmark will be distributed via UNICEF and the World Health Organization.
