According to the Information, the total volume of foreign trade in this period amounted to 12.02 billion BAM, which is by 189.6 million BAM or 1.6 percent more in comparison to the same period last year. Goods worth 7.6 billion BAM were imported, which is by 0.06 percent more compared with the same period last year. At the same time, total export amounted to 4.38 billion BAM and it records an increase by 4.4 percent more in comparison to the first six months of the past year.
The coverage of import with export amounted to 57.35 percent, which is by 2.38 percent more compared with the same period last year.
The European Union is still the main foreign trade partner of B&H with a 64.9 percent share in the total trade volume, followed by the countries signatories of the “CEFTA 2006” agreement with 13.3 percent and other countries with 21.8 percent.
In the first six months of 2015, B&H exported the most to Germany, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, Slovenia, Turkey, Montenegro, Hungary and Romania. The export to these countries makes up 76.6 percent of total export.
It was imported the most from Germany, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, China, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Austria and the USA. The import from these countries participates in the total BH import with a share of 72.58 percent.
The products that have contributed the most to the growth of export in the first half of this year were beef – fresh or chilled, insulated wire, cables and other insulated electric conductors, coke and semi-coke of coal, brown coal, or peat, retort carbon, hot-rolled wire of iron or non-alloy steel and bars of iron or non-alloy steel, announced the Council of Ministers of B&H.
