It could have been sensed for some time that the reconstruction of the Government of Sarajevo Canton would follow. This has now been confirmed by leading people, but it is still unclear in what form, in what legal way and how many ministers will belong to which political party. The only thing that is clear is that there will be no Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the new Government of Sarajevo Canton. The members of the opposition and the government stated that the current government is bad.
Negotiation teams have been formed. The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton says optimistically – the new Government by the end of the week.
“I sincerely hope that in the next five or six days an agreement will be reached and that I will have the opportunity to find out the results of that agreement and to act on that agreement”, said Nihad Uk, Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton.
The representatives of the ruling coalition think that things will not go so quickly. It is evident that overcomposition will occur, but it is uncertain how.
“The heads of the cantonal clubs have started negotiations that have been going on for some time, these negotiations should be completed this week on the reconstruction of the KS Government. Now, during that period, the first information will come out about how that procedure will take place, we will find out only in those seven days . There are multiple options. The whole process should be completed by the end of the month.”, Miomirka Melank, representative of our party in the CS Assembly.
In practice, this means looking for a legal way to remove this government and appoint a new one. There are several scenarios for this, but it is still uncertain which shift will take place.
“The easiest option is for the prime minister to resign, but that may not be a politically good message. The prime minister can propose the dismissal of ministers, but it should be well explained or the ministers will see for themselves when they have lost the support of the majority and resign, explains Irfan Cengic, representative of SDP party.
This third scenario is not realistic, because the two ministers who come from the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina will not submit the resignations that many wish for.
“As for the ministers from the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina, they will not resign, their reason for being part of that government is their responsibility to the citizens, and they will carry that responsibility to the end.”, said Muamer Bandic, representative of the SBiH in the CS Assembly.
The opposition parties are of the opinion that the CS Government has been bad since its formation and that the replacement of two ministers cannot make essential changes at all.
Let us remind you that the reconstruction of the CS Government comes because the ministers of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina must be replaced due to leaving the coalition.
Almir Bečarević and Emir Dedović. Representative Damir Marjanović and Režo Lemezan, who recently left Our Party, are seeking two ministries in the Government – higher education and finance. They would take over the finances from the expelled Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Our Party should renounce Pavlo Krsić.
