The former director of Clinical Centre University Sarajevo (KCUS), Sebija Izetbegović, resigned from this health institution, it was confirmed for Klix.ba.
After sick leave and annual leave, Izetbegović stated in her resignation that she was retiring early.
In December, Izetbegović signed a contract and was supposed to continue working at KCUS as a specialist doctor at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics.
The former general director of KCUS, after the decision of the KCUS Board of Directors on her dismissal, said that she was an excellent director.
“Proud of everything I did, thanks to the hard-working people who were my collaborators, I was an excellent director, without the slightest false modesty. Time will tell, and the court will prove, God willing. The imposed prime minister of FBiH (he had much fewer votes on elections than me) impatient to get hold of the KCUS, impose the KCUS Board of Directors and NOK from suitable personnel and initiate my dismissal, against the law. It will certainly have a judicial epilogue because I will sue them,” she pointed out at the time.
In her statement on this Decision, Izetbegović stated that her dismissal was illegal and requested that the Board of Directors provide her with the consent of the Federal Minister of Health on the Decision on initiating the recall.
Sebija Izetbegović was succeeded by Alen Pilav, as acting director. The process of appointing a new general director has not yet been completed, Klix.ba writes.
