The international sports symposium “SIMPOSAR Sarajevo 2025” will again gather eminent sports names from countries of the region and the world.
The founder and director of Simposar, Sabahudin Topalbecirevic, said yesterday at a press conference that the Symposium, whose opening is scheduled for today at 6:30 p.m., will bring to Sarajevo two great names of world football – Ballon d’Or winner Hristo Stoichkov (Bulgaria) and legendary goalkeeper and Golden Glove winner Jean-Marie Pfaff (Belgium), as well as numerous other legendary athletes and coaches from Europe and the region.
“I am pleased that we are gathering for the 14th time and that the goal and purpose of this symposium are recognized. Simposar is the best opportunity for sports education. This year too, we have brought a team from which we can learn and find out a lot. The Symposium each year sets greater goals; we have expanded acquaintances, athletes from all over the world are reaching out to us,” said Topalbecirevic.
Former football players of Zeljeznicar and Sarajevo, Haris Skoro and Mirza Kapetanovic, also addressed the media, pointing out that Simposar means a lot for the promotion of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The distinguished football coach and former technical director of the Croatian Football Federation, Romeo Jozak, emphasizes that Simposar has grown beyond the borders of BiH and the countries of the region.
“Right away, I felt that Simposar is more than business and interest. The organizers of this symposium have ambition but also want to create something good, positive, so it is a great privilege and honor for me to be able to contribute to this project,” said Jozak.
Simposar Sarajevo 2025 brings a rich program that gathers more than 50 prominent guests from the world of sports, media, science, and management.
