On 11th of June 2026, a hand-over ceremony of an X-ray machine was held at the Heatlh Care Center in Konjic, which Mr. AIKI Toshihiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, attended with the presence of Mr. Osman Catic, Mayor of Konjic, Mr. Kenan Greda, Chairperson of the City Council of the City of Konjic and Mr. Dzemal Hajduk, Director of the Heatlh Care Center in Konjic.
Through the program “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)” , the Government of Japan granted 100,929 Euros(approx. 197,400 KM) to the Health Care Center in Konjic. The project is expected to improve the capacity for early detection and timely treatment of diseases, which is expected to directly benefit over 7,000 patients each year.
Mayor of Konjic, Mr. Osman Catic, acknowledged and appreciatedcontinued support provided by the Government of Japan. Director of the Health Care Center, Mr. Dzemal Hajduk, extended his gratitude and emphasized that the donated X-ray machine will bring significant benefits to the Health Care Center and the citizens of Konjic. Ambassador AIKIexpressed his satisfaction that the project has been successfully completed and his hopes that this assistance will be of great benefit to all the citizensof Konjic and beyond.
