TC Veterans Compensation avaz.baThe Government of the Tuzla Canton adopted yesterday the Decision on the modifications in the Program of using the means for the implementation of supplementary rights and other allocations with the criteria for the distribution to the beneficiaries of the veterans and disabled persons compensation in 2015.

The Minister for the Issues of Veterans of the TC Fahrudin Skopljak said at a press conference that the health insurance “premium” program with the Institute for Health Insurance has ended for the members of the veterans population.

The minister stated that the Ministry received an invoice from the Institute amounting to 1.057.000 BAM and 1.150.000 BAM are intended for the distribution, therefore 93.000 BAM will be directed in the way that 88.000 BAM are intended for the treatment of the veterans population and 5.000 BAM for the compensation for the construction of shahid’s memorials.

Bearing in mind that 215 young people will have a volonteer – trainee internship through this ministry, Skopljak also invited the employers to respond to the public call.

The minister Skopljak expressed discontentment with the relation of the banks towards the citizens, because the banks have not responded to the public call for a tender to support the projects that would not be significantly beneficial for them, but that would contribute to the projects of importance for the society.

The minister stated that two projects are now called into question, one is about 800.000 BAM of loan funds for the employment incentives, the other one is 500.000 BAM of loan funds for the assisting in the provision of housing for the veterans, therefore the means intended for these projects are likely to be redirected.

Skopljak assessed that “the banks failed on the social responsibility exam”.
