The health condition of the leader of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has reportedly seriously deteriorated, and according to media reports, he has been undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure.
The information cites sources from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as reported by Ukrainian media.
According to media reports, Kadyrov is allegedly in his private hospital in Chechnya, where members of his family have gathered, including relatives who arrived from abroad.
The Ukrainian intelligence service states that, in the context of the serious deterioration of Ramzan Kadyrov’s health, the search for a candidate who could succeed him at the head of Chechnya has been intensified.
In this context, an expression from political jargon is also used, suggesting that Kadyrov is “at the entrance to the concert hall of Joseph Kobzon,” alluding to the death of the well-known Russian singer and Kremlin supporter; the expression is used in Russian and Ukrainian political discourse as a sarcastic metaphor for a person who is close to death.
Ukrainian military intelligence has previously reported on serious health problems of the Chechen leader. Thus, on September 15th, 2023, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine representative Andriy Yusov stated that Kadyrov was in a very serious health condition. Two days later, his personal video recording appeared on social media.
