The huge Cruiser “Bolette” anchored in Neum with more than a thousand Passengers

Yesterday, the cruiser “Bolette” sailed again into the Bay of Neum, which last year, with more than a thousand passengers and 600 crew members, became the first ship to pass under the Peljeski bridge and the largest that ever sailed into the waters of Neum.

Cruiser “Bolette” carries more than a thousand passengers and has more than 600 crew members, can sail at a speed of 25 knots, has a gross tonnage of over 62 thousand GRT, and a draft of 8.1 meters.

It is a little more than 237 meters long, 32.5 meters wide and has 12 decks, and its height from the water to the highest point on the ship is 48.1 meters, while the permitted height of passing under the Peljeski bridge is 55 meters.

Just like last year, this year as well, its arrival attracts a lot of attention from citizens and tourists in the only Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) town on the sea.

The floating hotel anchored in Neum under the Bahamian flag, as it did last year, where it stayed until the evening hours, and hundreds of passengers from the ship were using the arranged tourist trip through BiH.

As it was learned, the tourists from the cruise ship visitedSarajevo, Mostar, Kravice and the Neretva delta during the day, and were supposed to leave our country on the cruise ship that left Neum waters last night at 8 p.m.

While the arriving tourists tour our country, at the same time numerous visitors to Neum used the opportunity to take photos of the cruise ship in Neum for lasting memories and social networks.

Thus, at the end of this season, a small part of the coast of the Adriatic Sea in our country will be a big advertisement for Neum and the whole of BiH, because our country is also included on the map of ports for cruise ships.

Last year, the appearance of this cruise ship in Neum’s water area provoked harsh reactions from the locals, who also organized protests stating that the giant ship was causing damage to Neum’s water area.

The mayor of the Neum municipality, Dragan Jurkovic, said that the local community does not agree with the entry of such ships and will ask the authorities for a solution so that such situations are not repeated due to possible environmental consequences on the Neum water area, Klix.ba reports.
