The Israeli army (IDF) announced that the commander of Hezbollah’s elite unit Radwan was killed in a drone attack this evening.
But Jamal al-Din Jawad was hit in the village of Aabba in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, Jawad was the commander of Radwan.
The IDF says his killing is a “significant blow” to Hezbollah’s ability to carry out attacks against Israel.
Separately, warplanes struck a building used by Hezbollah and other infrastructure in southern Lebanon’s Kafr Qila, the IDF said.
