The member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, said today in Brussels, at the headquarters of the European Union, on the occasion of meetings with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, that BiH’s path to the European Union must be more credible and dynamic.
“With today’s visit to the headquarters of the European Union, I continue to consistently and persistently implement our planned foreign policy course. Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union are inextricably linked. Helping the European and Euro-Atlantic future of our country is a geostrategic investment in the unification of Europe based on common values,” said Bećirović.
He pointed out that the idea of a multi-ethnic and democratic BiH is being defended in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“No one should impose solutions onto Bosnia and Herzegovina that are contrary to European values, criteria and standards, no one has that right to do that, absolutely no one. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is no more room for anti-European and discriminatory solutions – said Bećirović, adding that Europe should help our country implement the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and eradicate segregation and discrimination,” he added.
“All people in our country deserve justice, economic development and human rights. I will never give up the fight for the people and the country. In the fight for the people and the country, I will continue to seek allies around the world. I firmly believe in the victory of a Euro-Atlantic Bosnia and Herzegovina,” concluded Bećirović.
