The most profitable company in the world is Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. It generates a daily profit of approximately 304 million dollars, which is about 3.519 dollarsevery second. Annually, the company records a profit of around 111 billion dollars, making it an unrivaled leader in the global business world, particularly in the energy sector.
Other highly profitable companies include tech giants such as Apple, Microsoft, and Alphabet (Google’s parent company), but none of them reach Saudi Aramco’s level of profitability, thanks to its dominant role in the global oil industry.
The company, which began oil exploration in the late 1930s, is majority-controlled by the Saudi Arabian government through the Public Investment Fund (PIF), keeping it under state influence for strategic decisions. Aramco is also diversifying its portfolio with renewable energy projects and developing low-carbon technologies in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The company’s current market capitalization stands at 1.8 trillion dollars. Its dominance is further confirmed by Statista’s data, which shows it as the undisputed leader in global oil reserves last year, with reserves four times larger than all other companies combined. Saudi Aramco produces nearly nine million barrels of oil daily and holds oil reserves totaling 251 billion barrels. To illustrate the scale of its dominance, the second-largest oil company, the United States (U.S.) company ExxonMobil, has reserves of 16.9 billion barrels, while the third-ranked Chevron holds 11.1 billion barrels, N1 writes.
