The new convocation of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been constituted today upon receiving the certificates of mandates and then by a solemn declaration.
President of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH, Suad Arnautović, congratulated the newly elected delegates and reminded that at its session in December, the CEC decided on confirming the results of the indirect elections and awarding the mandates for the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, which was published in the Official Gazette.
“With today’s awarding of mandates, the phase of indirect elections in the FBiH ends. Now follows the election of the president and two vice-presidents of the Federation of BiH, as well as the election of five delegates each to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH from among the Bosniak and Croat peoples by the Election Law of BiH,” Arnautović reminded.
Following the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina consists of 80 delegates, 23 from Bosniak, 23 from Croat, 23 from Serb nations and 11 from the Others.
