
“Ay, Carmela” is the most successful play of Sarajevo war theater and so far has had 208 performances, 80 performances in B&H and the rest in countries across Europe.
“Ay, Carmela” is a story of acting and of a couple in love (Carmela and Paulin), of actors, entertainments, of various artists who during the Spanish civil war were forced to play the show as the last favor to soldiers and war prisoners who were supposed to be killed the next day by fascists.
This play is in the repertoire of Sarajevo war theater since 1999 and has visited theater scenes in B&H as well as in almost all parts of Europe.
