”As part of the regular rotation, as of August 1st, Marinko Cavara will take over the position of Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH).
Cavara will perform this function for the next eight months.
In the same period, Nebojsa Radmanovic will perform the function of the first deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of the PABiH, while Denis Zvizdic will be the second deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of the PABiH,” announced the Public Relations Department of the PABiH.
It should be mentioned that Cavara has been on the United States (U.S.) blacklist since June last year for actions that undermine the Dayton Peace Agreement and the democratic institutions of BiH, it was stated in a statement published on the Twitter profile of the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo.
“Cavara is included in the list due to responsibility for or complicity, due to direct or indirect participation, violations or actions that constitute obstruction or threaten the implementation of any regional security, peace agreement, or agreement on cooperation or mutual recognition, framework agreement or mechanism related to the Western Balkans, including the Prespa Agreement of 2018, the Ohrid Framework Agreement of 2001, United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution 1244, the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Conclusions of the Peace Implementation Council Conference held in London in December 1995, including the decisions or conclusions of the High Representative, the Peace Implementation Council or of its Board of Directors or the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) or, when it comes to the former Yugoslavia, the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT),” the statement said.
In addition, Cavara was placed on the list for responsibility for or complicity, for direct or indirect participation in activities or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in the Western Balkans, Akta reports.
