She will stay in B&H for three days, and the reason of her visit is the marking of the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.
Queen Noor is a member of the delegation of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), and in that name she will give an appropriate speech on Saturday at the commemoration in Potočari.
As the commissioner of the ICMP, Queen Noor is dedicated to finding the missing persons and justice for the victims of ethnic cleansing and their families.
On Friday, this great humanitarian will meet with the members of the Presidency of B&H and the Prime Minister Denis Zvizdić.
She is known as a true advocate of the intercultural understanding and conflict prevention. The focus of her humanitarian work is on refugees, missing persons, poverty, climate changes and disarmament. Her work on building peace is directed towards the Middle East, Central and Southeast Asia, South America and Africa.
She is responsible for the change in thinking about women in Jordan and Middle East through introduction of the program for eradication of poverty and empowerment of women, improvement of microfinance, health and art.
She is a long-standing advocate of the Arab-Israeli peace and the Palestinian refugees, and she currently advocates for the displaced persons from Pakistan, Iraq and Syria.
