In the first two months of this year, the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska collected 645.2 million marks from public revenues of the Republika Srpska, which is 71.6 million BAM or 13 percent more than in the period January-February 2024, with a significant increase in collection across all groups of public revenues.
Namely, observed by individual groups of public revenues, the collection of direct taxes in the first two months of this year recorded an increase of 18 percent, contributions by 13 percent, while the increase in collection based on other public revenues was four percent.
“When it comes to contributions, the collection in the period January-February of this year amounted to 428.2 million BAM, which is 49 million BAM more than in the same period in 2024, with the collection of contributions for the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the Health Insurance Fund and the Employment Agency each increasing by 13 percent, while the collection of contributions for the Child Protection Fund increased by 12 percent. Direct taxes were collected in the first two months of this year in the amount of 128.5 million BAM, which is 19.3 million BAM more than in the comparable period of the previous year. The highest collection in direct taxes was achieved in income tax, namely 69.3 million BAM, which is 21 percent more. In addition, the growth in collection was also recorded by profit tax, which was collected in the amount of 54.8 million BAM, which is 16 percent more than in the period January-February of 2024. As for other public revenues, the collection in the first two months of this year amounted to 88.5 million BAM, which is 3.3 million BAM more than in the same period of the previous year. 39.9 million BAM was collected from taxes and fees, or two percent less, but the growth in the collection of income from fees for organizing games of chance continued, by 18 percent, while the collection of fines increased by two percent compared to January-February last year,” the RS Tax Administration said in a statement.
As for February of this year alone, the collection amounted to 356.7 million BAM, which is 51.2 million BAM or 17 percent more than in February of the previous year.
